ttable is a non profit organization that envisions a world without hunger. We hope to see excess food redistributed and made accessible to the poorest groups in society through the set up of ttables around the world. On the long term, we look forward to seeing a reduction of worldwide daily food wastage.

• 854 million people worldwide are currently undernourished
• 24,000 people die from hunger, malnutrition or related causes every day- that is 1000 people every hour
• G8 countries are committed to millions of dollars of food aid for the poorest countries
• In the UK and the USA, 1/3 of all household waste is food
• In the UK alone over 1 billion tons of food are thrown away, untouched.

The statistics are clear - some people are suffering from hunger and malnutrition while others are throwing away and wasting their food. Everybody that is privileged enough to be able to purchase food is also guilty of wasting food.
