It appears that studies are saying fat people cause global warming or at the very least contribute towards it. Last year I wrote a comedic piece about that very topic. In it I mention a lot of the things that would appear to to contribute towards “Global Warming.”

(CNN) — The G-20 meeting in London, England, on April 2 will be watched by the entire world with urgency and with a yearning for hope, vision and programmatic clarity.
The preparatory work is not adequate. The G-20 discussions do not move sufficiently beyond financial regulation. I would like to suggest the following main points for G-20 leadership in the global recovery.

Assistant FM voices China’s further commitment to agricultural co-op with African nationsadmin on July 5th, 2009

SIRTE, Libya, July 2 (Xinhua) — China will continue to develop bilateral and multilateral agricultural cooperation with African countries and boost the “South-South cooperation” within the framework of “Special Program for Food Security (SPFS),” Assistant Foreign Minister Zhai Jun said Thursday.
In an interview with Xinhua on the sidelines of the 13th Africa Union (AU) Summit currently underway in Libya’s seaside city of Sirte, Zhai said the agricultural cooperation between China and Africa constitutes an important part of bilateral cooperation.

UN Raises Agricultural Aid to Africa to $8 Billionadmin on July 5th, 2009
The United Nations says it has increased its annual agricultural aid to Africa from US$2 billion to US$8 billion dollars, according to a statement issued here Thursday by the UN Information Centre in Lagos. The statement said that the gesture was to stave off hunger on the continent by 2015. It said the funds would provide a lifeline for private investment in the agriculture, irrigation and transportation sectors, and that the fund is being provided by the office of the Secretary-General of the Millennium Development Goals, Africa Steering Group.
Number of Hungry People Soarsadmin on July 5th, 2009
The U.S. Agriculture Department said the number of hungry people in 70 poor nations soared 10.8% last year and will climb at least 1.7% this year, and perhaps much more depending on how the global recession plays out. The annual USDA survey, which attempts to calculate how many people are consuming less than 2,100 calories a day in countries that do or did receive food aid, is ammunition for the Obama administration in its push to help poor nations feed themselves.
